Women in Design Chapters

IDSA’s Women in Design Chapters foster positive gender equity within the design profession and create welcoming spaces for women, women-identifying individuals, and allies in local communities to network, connect, and learn from one another. Chapters provide a platform to support women designers, offering professional networking, programming, events, resources, mentorship, and allyship. Chapters are aligned closely with IDSA’s Women in Design Committee

Women in Design Chapters operate similarly to and independently of IDSA’s Professional Chapters. IDSA’s network currently includes three Women in Design Chapters across the United States.

IDSA Professional Chapters are communities of industrial designers and individuals interested in industrial design in cities around the world. They exist in places where there are clusters of industrial designers and other design professionals. These chapters provide professional development as well as personal and professional networking opportunities.

IDSA’s network of Professional Chapters is organized into five Districts. Currently, there are over 30 cities in North America with active IDSA Professional Chapters.
