Industrial Designer
Social Media Manager, IDSA Houston Chapter, 2021
Usna Ghaffar is a recent University of Houston graduate with a degree in industrial design and a minor in energy and sustainability. As a designer she is passionate about design and the way it impacts those around us, drawing much of her design inspiration from observing people’s difficulties and needs to create more positive user experiences for them. She is also passionate abiut designing for children, both for children’s health and play through toys and education.
As an ID student, Usna spent time engaged in design education and being involved with the student body. As an ID instructional assistant and social media manager for the student IDSA chapter at UH, she worked to connect with and help other students use and strengthen their own design and problem-solving skills. She looks forward to collaborating with IDSA’s student chapters to encourage students to learn more about industrial design.
