Tayo Oke is an Industrial Designer based in Los Angeles, currently leading design efforts within the green tech startup sector. With an MFA in Industrial Design from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a BA from UC Davis, Tayo bridges the gap between high-level theory and sustainable hardware execution.
Tayo’s career is defined by high-impact collaboration and international outreach. From coordinating Graduate Assistant for Metaproject 13, where he acted as a key liaison between RIT and the international furniture brand Lazzoni, coordinating a major debut for NYC Design Week (WantedDesign) and supporting Spring NYFW under Tiffany Brown Design, to leading Workshop 02: Future Design Embassies at Folkwang University of the Arts in Germany, he has seen firsthand how expansive the field can be.
As the VC, Sponsorship, and Fundraising lead for IDSA LA, Tayo is dedicated to empowering designers to be hyper-adaptive and relentlessly curious. His mission is to move beyond "displays of grandeur" and instead build a resilient, action-oriented community that serves the tangible needs of employees, leadership, and educators alike.
