Shuvo Roy, PhD, focuses his research on the development of biomedical devices to address unmet clinical needs through the application of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) and related nanotechnology. He is director of the Biodesign Laboratory, where his research focuses on fabrication of silicon membranes for biofiltration and organ replacement functions; surface modification of MEMS substrates to enhance device biocompatibility; and wireless sensors for physiological monitoring.
