Spencer Murrell’s career has spanned three decades of product development consulting roles. Before joining Lextant, he spent 17 years at Fitch Inc, an international design consultancy, where he headed the Product Development Practice. There he built an interdisciplinary offer encompassing industrial design, mechanical and electrical engineering, human factors and participatory research and interactive design. At Fitch he led the design team that created the zip, Ditto and Jaz product lines for Iomega Corporation earning in 2000 the Design of the Decade award from IDSA. His design work has been recognized by ID magazine, IDSA, Chicago Athenaeum and BusinessWeek. Murrell holds a degree in industrial design from the University of Cincinnati.
