Minoo Marasi

Minoo Marasi is a designer and researcher whose interdisciplinary practice bridges industrial design, wearable technology, and graphic and interaction design. With a foundation in electrical engineering and a master’s in Industrial Design, she is now pursuing a second master’s in Graphic Design at the University of Illinois Chicago, continuing to explore the meeting point of design, emotion, and human experience. Her work often revolves around assistive wearables, materials-driven storytelling, and the science of aesthetics, seeking new ways design can foster emotional connection and well-being. She has shared her projects and ideas through various exhibitions, publications, and contributions within IDSA’s design community. As part of the Women in Design Committee, Minoo brings her passion for inclusive design leadership, mentorship, and collective storytelling. She is deeply interested in how design can elevate underrepresented voices, create empathetic technologies, and bridge the worlds of education, research, and creative practice.
