Julia Kemp
Associate Director, Arthur Rock Center
Harvard Business School
An associate director of The Arthur Rock Center, Julia Kemp leads the student-facing entrepreneurship programs at Harvard Business School. She lives to work at the intersection of design and business—with a mission to create, articulate and claim value for disruptive startups. Before HBS, she became known as a “Product Storyteller,” working with 500+ companies to launch thousands of products.
Kemp was part of the original startup team at The Grommet, a curated, e-commerce launch platform that leverages video and empowers people to shop in alignment with their values. She led the launch of FitBit, S’well water bottles, Back to The Roots, Lunchskins, Squatty Potty and Urbio—long before they became household names.
Kemp serves on the board of CAKE, a startup for end of life planning and Aether, a think tank for learning. She holds a BFA in industrial design from Savannah College of Art and Design and an MBA from Simmons College.
