John Caruso, FIDSA

Professor, Industrial Design – Product Design, Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design John Caruso, IDSA, is a product designer and dedicated educator with a career spanning over 30 years. His versatile work, encompassing concept-driven design with a strong focus on sustainability, has garnered prestigious recognition, including the IDSA Midwest Outstanding Design Educator of the Year award, the Best Education Paper at the IDSA National conference, the IDSA IDEA, and several Good Design Awards. John contributed to IDSA serving on the Board of Directors and Midwest District Vice President. Beyond academia, John is a versatile designer and a sought-after design consultant. He provides companies with valuable design insights and visions. John conducts extensive fieldwork, immersing himself as both a researcher and user of design concepts and products to ensure the creation of impactful and meaningful designs.
