Furman O’Dell, IDSA is the principal designer at Boutique, a design consultancy located in Denver, CO that offers expertise in industrial design, user-experience, and product branding. Previously, he worked as a senior designer at Boa Technology, a supplier of lacing systems used on technical footwear like snowboard boots and cycling shoes.
O’Dell graduated with a BFA in industrial design from Carnegie Mellon and has worked in a variety of product categories, including medical products, high-tech equipment, and sporting goods. As the Student Chapter Liaison for the IDSA Denver chapter, he hopes to connect with and mentor local industrial design students and recent grads about career paths and technical skills, or just to talk about design in general.
