Co-Founder & Creative Director at Hydrific
Emilie Williams is an industrial designer based in NYC and is Co-Founder & Creative Director at Hydrific, part of LIXIL. With a mission to enable the sustainable home of the future, Hydrific, the venture she helped co-found 4 years ago, recently launched its first water-conservation focused smart home product, Droplet. With over 20 years of consumer product design experience, she has crafted an impressive portfolio of housewares, electronics, and plumbing products for top-tier brands, holding more than 130 U.S. patents and dozens of international awards like IDEA, RedDot, iF, G'Mark Japan, German Design Award, GOOD Design, and more.
An active member of the NYC Design Community, Emilie serves as chair of IDSA’s Housewares Section which focuses on current trends and happenings within the industry of home-based consumer products. In 2022, the Housewares Section partnered with the IDSA Chicago Professional Chapter to host a virtual panel discussion exploring the current state of innovation (or lack thereof) within the housewares industry.
