Brit Kleinman is currently the founder and creative director of AVO, an art and design studio based in Brooklyn, New York. Founded in 2014, AVO specializes in hand dyed leather, woven rugs, textiles and surfaces designed to spark curiosity in a space. Driven by a passion for materiality, exploration and play, we believe that when your senses are activated you’re more present in your environment. AVO has the expertise and experience to execute residential and commercial projects at many scales, including large, site-specific commissions. Since the beginning, AVO's work has been recognized by Vogue, The New York Times, Surface, Architectural Digest, Luxe Magazine, among many other national and international outlets. Brit has a background in industrial design with a diverse expertise in textiles, material creation, CMF and strategic thinking. She brings over fifteen years of experience to design and creative consulting, working regularly with clients seeking new methods of developing their brands, products, or spaces. Previously, Brit has worked with organizations such as Casper, DSNY, Shinola, Timberland, Jack Spade and Samsonite.
