Max Beach is a founding partner at IDA-Los Angeles. He is the product and exhibit design lead and directs the studio’s 3D design and modeling capabilities. In the 10 years since opening, IDA clients and projects span entrepreneurial upstarts to multi-national corporations. Having managed product development teams for various disciplines, including electrical and mechanical engineering, user interface, prototype development and plastic part manufacturing, he embraces diverse projects at IDA. In 2006, he joined California State University, Long Beach as a lecturer in the industrial design program. He has instructed foundation courses like Rapid Visualization and Advanced Form Study. Since 2011, Beach has taught the spring Senior Industrial Design Studio where he helps prepare students for a career in design. As an active member of the IDSA community, Beach was twice elected to the Los Angeles Chapter chair position. He earned a bachelor’s in fine arts at the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI.
