As a human factors engineer, Cheryl has experience moderating interviews, planning and conducting formative evaluations to inform design recommendations, conducting usability tests, supporting documentation development, and analyzing data. At Farm, Cheryl has moderated and supported multiple usability validation tests for FDA submission. Cheryl went to Tufts University to study for her Master of Science in Human Factors, and received a BS in Brain and Cognitive Sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Before joining Farm, Cheryl was a graduate research assistant for Tufts University, where she led user research and usability testing for a medical decision support device.


Turning Qualitative Insights from User Research into Value-driven Business Opportunities

Cheryl Kwinn and Scott Woodruff from Farm Design will take participants through a hands-on, interactive workshop focused on combining design research methods with strategic consulting tools. Working in collaborative groups, attendees will be introduced to several unique approaches to the business and industry-related challenges they currently may be facing. 

Kwinn and Woodruff will show how to take broad qualitative user feedback, and—through a process of data analysis and synthesis—filter a wealth of insights into a handful of actionable, financially viable product and service opportunity areas.
