Furniture

The furniture market today spans many industries, from commercial and residential, to mass-market and case goods. This Section aims to celebrate and educate the IDSA community about the furniture market and its nuances. Furniture designers balance aesthetic and conceptual concerns with practical and functional requirements like materials, manufacturing, ergonomics, and aesthetic sensibilities to create custom and large-scale objects and furnishings society uses to organize and enhance their environment. If you’re into furniture-custom, mass-produced, residential, or commercial, this is the Section for you.

“Furniture today can be iconic or utterly forgettable. Both have value and a role in the modern marketplace. However, to be successful, neither can be devoid of human factors and empathy.”
