The IDSA Raleigh-Durham (RDU) Chapter serves the networking and professional development needs of industrial designers in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina and surrounding areas. Some of the activities and events that Raleigh-Durham Chapter has produced include lectures, studio tours, and collaborations with other professional design organizations. Raleigh-Durham and the Research Triangle Park areas has become home to a fast-growing number of firms in technology, biotech, and medical industries sized ranging from large Fortune 500 high-tech companies to startups.
IDSA Raleigh-Durham also supports design students in the area, including Appalachian State University and North Carolina State University. We encourage a strong partnership between the student chapters and the professional chapter that includes portfolio reviews, career development, and social events.
