The Majimaya Confectionery Tool Store is a specialty shop for confectionery tools and accessories located in Tokyo, Japan. The store layout was purposely designed to give customers easy access to the tools. The space is centered around the stairs, which wind around a rectangular structure covered in metal mesh where 3,000 molds are on display. Each mold carries a number linked to a metal box in the stairwell, allowing customers to select the tools for themselves. While choosing molds, customers are subconsciously guided to move up and down the split-level floors.
