The Xpedition Stair Chair allows first responders to take patients up and down steps with the push of a button. Moving a patient used to be achieved using a stair chair that was not powered, putting both patient and first responders at risk of injury. Xpedition allows users to move patients up to 500 lbs. using powered tracks, and substantially reduces the amount of tip-back required to traverse steps. Xpedition uses an intuitive set of controls that allow the users to choose whether they’re traveling up or down, how fast they’d like to go, and if they need additional lighting for low-lit hallways and stairways.
