LI-NING ANSWER 2024 is a long-term sustainable project aimed at future manufacturing of sports shoes. By using additive manufacturing, tooling-free production is achieved. The tooling-free manufacturing method, combined with 3D printing and supercritical fluid foaming technology, simplifies the number of assembled parts and the processes, effectively shortens the manufacturing cycle and greatly reduces carbon emission as well as weight of shoes, practicing sustainability and enhancing user experience. As well, it greatly saves costs and work time for the enterprises. In addition, since the midsole is manufactured by 3D printing with Li-Ning Super Boom material, it has stronger cushioning performance. Due to the liquid outsole technology, the outsole is more slip-and-wear-resistant. It achieves a new intelligent manufacturing method for quickly customizing a pair of high-performance sports shoes without molds. Personalized customization can be realized according to specific user data and exercise habits.
