Laura Jeffcoat Sosa, CVA

Manager of Membership Engagement Laura is a volunteer engagement and association professional with more than a decade of experience. She specializes in designing systems that empower members to contribute their expertise and shape the organizations they serve. Laura’s work focuses on building innovative volunteer frameworks, recognition programs, and community engagement strategies that strengthen member-driven professional communities. Laura most recently served as Volunteer Engagement Coordinator for the International Municipal Signal Association, where she managed a network of more than 300 volunteer roles across 20 sections and multiple committees. In this role, she led initiatives to improve volunteer recruitment and retention, developed leadership training and recognition programs, and supported digital community platforms that enabled members to collaborate, share knowledge, and advance industry standards. Laura is passionate about designing collaborative environments where professionals can contribute their talents, share knowledge, and drive innovation through volunteer leadership. In her free time, she can be found at a U7 soccer game/practice, looking for a good find at a local thrift store, or visiting the low country in SC.
