Brett Lovelady is an internationally recognized design leader and serial entrepreneur. He is the founder of ASTRO Studios of California, designers of culturally relevant consumer products and brands that inspire markets and improve the human experience. He is also the co-founder of ASTRO Gaming, Minus-8 Watches, Subpar Golf and recently ALLSTAR Design in SLC Utah.
Brett started ASTRO in 1994 to blend the value of design with technology and cultural insights. To date he has worked to commercialized over 500 products and brands, helping clients generate over $100B in new revenue worldwide. As one of America’s design leaders, Brett advocates for design at all levels while directing some of the world’s most culturally relevant programs.
Brett’s industry recognitions include a IDSA 2022 Special Achievement Award, Fast Company’s 2018 Most Innovative Companies in Design, 2x BusinessWeek Design of the Decade awards and 11 nominations for the Smithsonian–Cooper Hewitt National Design Award.
Project highlights include, Nike Triax Watches & Fuelband, Microsoft Xbox360 System, VIVE Branding, Shinola Electronics, etc. Additionally, Brett has created a launched his own product companies including ASTRO Gaming (acquired by Skullcandy, then Logitech) and ASTRO Studios (acquired in 2020 by PA Consulting a world leader in innovation & commercialization).
