Sarah Bicho, IDSA | Industrial Designer, Thin Air
Sarah Bicho is an Industrial Designer based out of the greater Houston area.
Sarah has freelanced and worked for design companies on a wide range of product design projects from laptop and tablet cases, packaging and merchandising, to lawn and garden products and pet containment. She graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2009 with a BA in Industrial Design and a Minor in Marketing.
So far in her novel career Sarah has contributed to design projects for companies such as Hewlett Packard, Dell, Ingram, Lowe’s, Home Depot, and Tractor Supply Co. Along side with her passion in product design, Sarah has developed skills in CAD, drafting and rendering, packaging and merchandiser design, graphic design, project management, market trend research, design problem solving, creating and delivering presentations, collaborating with internal and over-seas teams in the product development process, and her overall abilities to get stuff done.
Sarah’s design experience has taught her that design is not all about the form and function of a project, but that it is also about the user and how the user perceives your design. She tries her best to always look at how a consumer is going to use her design, who the consumer is, and how her design can improve their way of life. To Sarah the best part of being a designer is seeing a complete stranger enjoying one of the products she has designed.
While she continues to strive for a challenge that makes her grow as a designer and seeks to learn more about the design world she is always looking for new networking contacts, partnerships, and freelance opportunities.
