Doris Wells-Papanek collaborates with educators, practitioners and learners to design and research learning experiences. As principal of Tailored Learning Tools, she has coached educators and learners of all ages, presented multiple papers at national and international conferences and co-authored five research-based learning-centered books. With 20 years of experience with companies such as Apple, Xerox and Intuit, she currently serves as IDSA’s K12 design educator facilitator, conducts learning-centered program evaluations for the Terra Foundation and consults with school districts across the nation to transform teaching and learning practices. Wells-Papanek holds a master’s in curriculum and instruction design from National-Louis University and a bachelor’s in product and environmental design from the Kansas City Art Institute & School of Design.
