Norwood Viviano is an Associate Professor of Art and Design at Grand Valley State University, where he is the Sculpture Program Coordinator and responsible for a full-service foundry and fabrication studio. Viviano utilizes digital 3D modeling and printing technology in combination with glass blowing and casting processes to create his sculptural works. He has been an Artist-in Residence at the Royal College of Art, London, UK; Ox-Bow School Art and Artists’ Residency, Saugatuck, MI; Arts/Industry Resident Kohler Co., Kohler, WI; and Visiting Artist in Residence at the Museum of Glass, Tacoma, WA. His work has been exhibited at Zolla/Lieberman Gallery, Chicago, IL; Esther Claypool Gallery, Seattle, WA; Revolution Gallery, Ferndale, MI; Heller Gallery, New York, NY; Art Miami, Miami, FL; and the Venice Biennale, Venice, Italy.
