Schurman Retail Group-Papyrus
Summer Hill is the manager of product design and development at Schurman Retail Group-Papyrus, where she has released more than a thousand products in the last three years. At both SRG and RedEnvelope, she has led gifting and personal expression product design efforts in North America and the UK, while traveling extensively to manage teams in China, India, Thailand and Europe. Her designs have been distributed widely through outlets including Papyrus, RedEnvelope, Clinton’s and Carlton Cards.
Hill began her career at Chicago’s toy invention group Meyer/Glass. Then she practiced environmental design at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC, collaborating on the renovation of the National Museum of American History and National Museum of Natural History. She earned a BID from North Carolina State University and completed master’s studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
