With more than 19 years of product development experience, Ryan Shafer has leveraged design as a business tool for organizations including Kimberly-Clark, Philips, Johnson & Johnson, Walt Disney, CVS I Caremark and Unilever. In addition, he has directed global design and engineering resources spending time at factories in China, Thailand and Taiwan ensuring design is maintained through production. In his current role, he directs Ximedica’s consumer health-care business, leading and inspiring human factors industrial designers, user-research teams and engineering to translate consumer insight into meaningful design solutions that help grow a client’s business. Shafer graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s in fine arts in industrial design.
