Zack Schildhorn is VP and Director, Operations with Lux Capital, a venture capital firm investing in disruptive technology companies. Schildhorn focuses on companies within energy, novel materials and technologies at the intersection of the digital and physical worlds. He led Lux’s investments in Shapeways, a leading 3D printing marketplace; SOLS Systems, specializing in 3D printed custom orthotics; and has worked extensively with other Lux companies including Matterport (interior 3D scanning); Transphorm (energy conversion); and Kurion (nuclear waste cleanup). Before joining Lux, Schildhorn worked as an expedition photographer on the Colorado Plateau. He’s a graduate of Cornell University and is a regular contributing editor for Forbes.
