Sam Ach, IDSA

Industrial Design Consultant Samuel Ach is an independent, Portland-based industrial design consultant, passionate about building meaningful relationships and experiences between design professionals, brands, people, and the products they use. Since graduating from MSU Denver as an IDSA Student Merit Award winner in 2017, he has worked mainly through the Denver-based design consultancy Studio West Concepts. In that time, he has worked closely with brands such as Thule, Schwinn, Travelpro, Lightspeed Aviation, 661 Protection, and others within the luggage, outdoor, cycling, and medical industries. As an IDSA officer, organizing and facilitating community outreach through events, seminars, meet-ups, and friendly competitions, he aims to build a more cohesive design community in Portland. He also looks to open minds to IDSA and to the profession of industrial design at large.
