Raphael Hebert, IDSA | IDE, Inc
Raphael Hebert leads IDE Inc’s industrial design team and provides creative direction for all IDE projects. Like many on the IDE staff, he is a multi-talented, high-skilled professional who is proficient at solving both artistic and technical challenges. Hebert’s leadership on tough client projects makes it easier for them to overcome decision paralysis and stay focused on the big picture. His 10 plus years of experience working within the corporate world designing high end bio-medical instruments, as well as his 15 plus years in the consulting environment designing everything from handheld and wearable consumer products to ruggedized weather-resistant portable test gear, make him the ideal person to lead the IDE industrial team and to provide the creative impetus for product design. An accomplished furniture designer and craftsman, he also has a natural sensibility for quality and craft that can only come from the experience of making fine things. His master’s touch can be seen in products IDE has designed for Anritsu Corporation, Auxogyn, Corsair, Fluidigm, Kopin, Molecular Devices, Ventana Medical (a Roche Group company), Wescor (an Elitech Group company) and more. Herbert is a graduate of San Jose State University with a bachelor’s in industrial design and he is a member of the Industrial Designers Society of America. He is the holder of several design and utility patents.
