Jon Moroney has worked as a design consultant in the West Michigan area for almost 15 years. For the past seven years, he has worked as a lead designer, researcher and strategy specialist at Tiger Studio in product and interface design. Additionally, he has been an assistant professor of industrial design at Kendall College of Art and Design, for the past six years; teaching studio design, research and entrepreneurship courses. His experiences in design and education have led him to work with a global innovation program where a team of educators and professionals teach college students in Nicaragua how to develop products for their local community using local resources and how to start a business to help build the local economy. Moroney earned his bachelor’s degree in industrial design from Western Michigan University and his master’s in business administration from Grand Valley State University with an emphasis in consumer behavior.
