Mike Garten, IDSA | TEAGUE

Mike serves as Project Management Group Manager at TEAGUE, one of the most iconic and widely respected design firms in the world.
Mike began his career as an industrial designer at IBM. After designing award-winning products for the banking industry he managed global hardware and software development for products that connected to IBM’s midrange computer systems. With more than 20 years of design and development experience in both corporate and consulting environments, Mike brings a rare combination of design sensitivity and project discipline to development programs. He has given numerous presentations on product design and project management, including at the International Housewares Show in Chicago. He has also been a regular guest lecturer at the Virginia Tech School of Architecture.
Mike has a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design from the Ohio State University. He was active in the Carolinas Chapter of IDSA and served on the IDSA Board as Southern District VP from 2009 to 2010.
