Mathieu Turpault, IDSA | Bresslergroup
As a Design Director, I understand the value IDSA brings to designers and clients alike. As a Design practitioner my role is to connect designers and businesses everyday which is one of the core guiding principles of IDSA, a core principle that I can leverage as IDSA Northeast District Vice President.
Over the next two years, my goal is to reinvigorate the interest of Northeast corporate design managers, practicing professionals and students and develop meaningful programs and events where young and seasoned professional can easily connect, network and grow their opportunities for professional development and career advancement. An example is enabling IDSA student members to get easier access to internships with leading organizations, there are compelling reasons for both students and design organizations to make that happen and IDSA can be the medium that connects the two.
I want to help make IDSA our number one source for professional development and grow the Northeast district membership base to make it more diverse and richer.
As the leader of a multi-disciplinary design team, I understand that success is accomplished through motivation, efficiency, guidance and leadership by example, this is how I got where I am and this is how I can help the organization and its member on the path toward mutual shared success. Furthermore, I am leading the effort at Bresslergroup to rejuvenate our presence and understand the challenge of developing and strengthening a brand while maintaining critical core values. As Northeast District VP, I plan to work with IDSA to bring these qualities to the table to ensure the growth and success of this district.
