Lea Kobeli

Lea Kobeli is an industrial design consultant with 20+ years of designing physical products and creating human-centered customer experiences for a diverse range of Fortune 500 clients.
Responsible for exploring and defining the right expression for each product, Kobeli has a passion for designing tangible objects that make it into the hands of customers to surprise, connect and delight. Her goal is to elevate design by seizing opportunities to deliver on the highest design principles. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, Kobeli believes in the exchange of ideas and dialogue to bring the most impactful designs to market. Her work has been recognized by numerous international awards, and her client list includes HP, Intel, Keurig, Varian Medical Systems, AeroVironment, Illumina, SanDisk, Roche and Adidas. At McKinsey Design, she is involved in defining white space opportunities and go-to- market strategies for domestic and international companies, helping them re-imagine their brands and create new, customer-centric experiences. This includes developing XBLs (experience brand languages) to drive the future expressions and product road maps for the clients with whom she works.
Since 2014, she has been an adjunct professor at California College of the Arts, teaching User-Centered Design and Design Expressions studio classes.
