Kimberlee Wilkens

Kimberlee Wilkens leads graduate and undergraduate courses at University of Illinois at Chicago in exploration of the design process, as well as adding depth and complexity to students’ thesis topics.
Wilkins co-teaches a Clinical Immersion Program, providing medical and bioengineering students with intensive exposure to the clinical environment in order to conduct human-centered research focusing on observation and needs assessment. She also serves as industrial design lead and faculty for the UIC Innovation Center’s UR*lab. In 2016, she launched 5by5 design lab.
