Kerstin Nelsen Strom, IDSA | Strom Studios
Ecodesign Section Chair: 2010–2013
Minnesota Chapter Chair: 2010
As soon as she figured out she could design a car for homework, Kerstin Strom gave up a career in law in favor of design. Since then, she’s pursued a career based, in part, on connectivity. She talked to us about that as well as sustainability and “the proprietary mindest” of some designers.
DECEMBER 2009 – Kerstin Strom grew up in South Carolina and took an interest in law before being smitten with ID. After Graduating from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) she specialized in children’s soft goods and trend forecasting. Currently, she is finishing her second degree in Sustainable Design from Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD) and is chair of IDSA
Kerstin runs her own studio, Strom Studios. For more information on Kerstin and her company click here.
