Keith Karn is the Director of User Research at Bresslergroup. Karn has been steeped in human-centered design since strapping himself into the ejection seat of a supersonic airplane during his first human factors job in the early ’80s. Since then he has trekked down mountains and trailed ER doctors, all in the pursuit of optimizing the user experience. He led user research and design teams at Xerox and Eastman Kodak. He has designed medical information systems and medical devices, and has extensive experience leading usability testing to meet the requirements of the FDA and European governing bodies. Karn has a PhD in Experimental Psychology from the University of Rochester, as well as degrees in Ergonomics and Industrial Engineering.
