John Kraljic, IDSA | idk3CO
After graduating from Pratt Institute in 1984, John worked for several architectural and design firms before starting his own company in 1990. As founder and president of idk3CO (formally idk3inc), John has created innovative products in housewares, sporting goods, furniture, marine equipment, consumer electronic products and child safety devises. idk3CO has created and manufactured visual displays for fashion designers such as Calvin Klein, Giorgio Armani, Ralph Lauren and Vera Wang. His unique designs solved many of their specific display requirements.
Other clients of idk3inc have included market leaders and trendsetters such as Nikon USA, Welch Allyn Medical, Shaq O’Neal, Rockport Shoes and Sotheby’s New York. His passion for industrial design is only rivaled by his enthusiasm for innovation, conception, ideation and the notion that “nothing is impossible”.
Traveling extensively throughout America, Asia and Europe, wides his design philosophies as well as to oversee the manufacturing of his client’s products so as to assure them of the quality and deliverability they expect. With offices and manufacturing facilities on Long Island, New York and Xiamen, China assures on-time deliverability worldwide.
He joined the IDSA in 1993 so as to be a part of the “bigger picture” and to stay current with the latest trends and technologies in Industrial Design and product development. John works with many entrepreneurs and inventors to bring their products to market. John holds several US patents for products he’s designed and developed.
John’s design of a lightweight carbon fiber yacht boarding ramp for was awarded innovative new product by the National Marine Manufactures Association (NMMA).
