Joe Weiss served as the technical lead to develop the Raymond VR Simulator, an award winning tool that allows operators to learn skills used in driving a forklift in a virtual environment. Joe earned his Ph. D. from Binghamton University in Industrial and Systems Engineering and he applied the modeling and simulation knowledge gained herein during his first role at Raymond doing warehouse-level discrete event simulation. Out of this role the VR Simulator project began as a side project and through an eventful and learning-filled development process it evolved into the VR Simulator as it is today.
