As chair of product design at Art Center, Karen Hofmann orchestrates curriculum and vision-casting projects with recent emphasis on design entrepreneurship. She also serves as the director of the Color, Materials and Trends Exploration Laboratory (CMTEL) where she launched DesignStorms®, innovative immersions with Art Center faculty and students, partnering with companies such as Adidas, Volkswagen, Nestle, Disney and Eastman Innovation Lab to explore future market opportunities. She leads the innovative study abroad program with INSEAD international business school, created a design thinking executive education program hosted at ESADE business school and serves on the advisory board for Art Center’s newly formed accelerator launching this summer.
