As the vice president of design for Lenovo’s famed Think branded offerings, David Hill leads an international team of strategists, human factors engineers, graphic and industrial designers. Collectively, this work shapes the premium brand impressions of Lenovo. His Lenovo and IBM design experiences include computing systems ranging from high performance servers to the classic ThinkPad. His work embodies a strong synergistic relationship between form and function. He has worked in close collaboration with seminal designer Richard Sapper for nearly two decades. Hill has won 10 IDEAs from IDSA as well as its Design of the Decade honor for ThinkPad. Additionally, his designs have received Germany’s iF Top 10 and Best of Category awards, the German Red Dot Best of the Best Award and the Japanese G-Mark Best 100 Award for design excellence. His designs are also included in the design collections of museums in Europe and the United States.
