Götz Unger, is Associate Professor and the founding Director of the Industrial Design department at Philadelphia University, currently enrolling150 BSID and MSID students. He holds an MDes from the Royal College of Art, London, and a Gesamthochschulabschluss Design from the University of Kassel, Germany. In his role as in-house designer and development manager at Knoll International and his subsequent role as manager of design development at Sierra/Wallace, he has led interdisciplinary teams in numerous design development and research projects to bring designs to market. He has practiced as a free-lance designer in the US and in Europe, with products on the market and in exhibits in both continents. His work has been featured in publications here and abroad. Professor Unger maintains a design studio and design consultancy in Pennsylvania.
