Tim Fletcher is the business development manager for Daedalus in Pittsburgh. Previously he taught industrial design and design thinking at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His background in design and new product development spans both large and small corporations as well as consulting. Before teaching, he worked in the consumer and commercial electronics, infant products and sporting goods industries. He holds 14 design patents and 4 utility patents in the US, Europe and Australia. Since 1989, Fletcher has been an active member of the Industrial Designers Society of America serving as Chapter VP, Southern District VP and Carolina Chapter Chair. He received his bachelor of environmental design in industrial design from North Carolina State University in 1989 and his master’s in design (Advanced Strategies) from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2008.
