Charles Ho Fung, IDSA | Packaging Innovation & Insights Scientist, MillerCoors
Through providing leadership for Packaging Innovations for Miller Lite and Blue Moon, Charles has influenced all aspects of packaging ideation to insure successful innovations for MillerCoors. Earlier this year, he has successfully led the conceptual development of the Miller Lite Punch Top Can contributing to a positive trend change for that commodity to retailers.
Charles had also developed the first working academic relationships with MIAD for Packaging Innovation as well as the Mendozza College of Business @ Notre Dame and actively developing relationships with other corporate partners in non-competing industries. He has also commissioned and completed the construction of two innovation centers with the first one being the Global Innovation Center at GPI and The Flying Hippo at MillerCoors. Charles earned a Bachelor of Industrial Design degree from Pratt Institute as well as an Executive Masters of Business from Georgia State University. His experience of human factors and design strategy was developed under the guidance of Futurist Moni Wulf during his time at Motorola. Charles currently has over 29 utility patents (applied or issued) both on a national and global level. In his free time, he provides EMS support to various mountain bike races throughout the state of Wisconsin thru the National Mountain Bike Patrol.
Charles also holds a contract leadership role with Andretti Racing providing operations management for various Indy races across the country, most recently participating in the Grand Prix of Baltimore. With over 10 years of experience, Charles has been identified as a leader in his profession and maintains relationships with various entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and the academic community.
