Byeong Cheol “BC” Hwang is a professor and associate chair for user experience (UX) design at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). He has more than two decades of experience working and teaching in UX design, including at Samsung Electronics, Samsung Art and Design Institute (SADI), Hyundai Securities Co. and University of Oklahoma’s School of Industrial Engineering.
Hwang earned a master’s degree and a PhD in human factors and human computer interaction (HCI) from the University of Oklahoma. He has more than 60 patents applied and registered worldwide, including in China, Europe, Japan, Korea and the United States. He was selected as Designer of the Year at Samsung Electronics in 2007.
