Bethany has alway had a passion for dreaming up new ideas, problem solving, and building things. Growing up she constantly built with Legos, participated in robotics competitions, and competed in build events in Michigan Science Olympiad tournaments. She chose to study industrial design to explore the unique combination of creative and technical skills while learning how to creatively solve problems and develop better solutions. While she started her career in traditional product design, she found a passion for user centered design and decided to pivot to UI/UX and design research to explore a deep empathy with users. She strives to champion the importance of product design research and to prioritize user experience in product design. As a designer and researcher at Gentex she works to implement proper user testing strategies during the design process to help design and create insight driven, effective design. Bethany attended Kendall College of Art and Design (KCAD) and graduated with honors in 2021 with a BFA in Industrial Design.
