As the Vertical Director for Design, Technology and Hardware at Indiegogo, Miriam Bekkouche’s role is to educate and empower the entrepreneurial community to harness the power of crowdfunding to bring their ideas to market. Before joining Indiegogo, she founded the Canadian Technology Accelerator in New York City in January 2012 that provided high-potential digital media start-ups access to unique resources and contacts to accelerate the growth of their start-up on a global scale. Over the past eight years, Bekkouche served in various roles in Canadian Government including Innovation Officer at the Canadian Consulate General in New York City, the S&T Officer for Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada and policy advisor in Foreign Affairs and International Trade. She holds an MA European Studies and Public Administration from the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium, and a BA Honors Political Science, Hispanic Studies from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
