Adrienne Green, MD, SFHM, FACP, is a clinical professor of medicine, chief medical officer for adult services and vice president for patient safety and accreditation for University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Health. Dr. Green provides leadership and oversight for all patient safety activities at UCSF Health, which includes a robust root cause analysis process that Dr. Green has helped to transform in the last seven years.
Currently Dr. Green is leading the institution’s efforts to achieve zero harm to patients and staff and a multi-year effort to decrease hospital-acquired infections and serious safety events such as falls or medication errors and workplace injury. She continues her clinical practice as a hospitalist at UCSF.
