The IDSA Member Appellation is the highest mark of industry excellence. Any individual who fulfills the requirements of an industrial design or related design program at an instituion of higher learning may be a Professional or Young Professional member of IDSA. From the years of formal education and as members advance in their careers, they may take on different appellations reflective of their achievements. And, professionals who were trained and have excelled in no-design fields but who work with designers at corporations and consultancies, may also take a mark of recognition for their contributions to the advancement of design.
