The Journal of the Patent & Trademark Society has published an article by Perry J. Saidman, A/IDSA, and Kerry Leonard of Saidman Designlaw Group, LLC, entitled “Edison: Describing a Design—When Enough is Enough!” They ask: Do the same rules that govern utility patents, apply to design patents? Saidman co-founded IDSA’s Design Protection special interest section and is the founder and first chair of the Industrial Design Committee of the American Intellectual Property Law Association.
