3M Design Becomes IDSA Ambassador
The engine that drives design at 3M is inspired by collaborative creativity—the team of diverse talent at 3M Design creates meaningful and consistent brand experiences that translate insights into relevant solutions. The new, 40,000 square foot 3M Design Center, already profiled in Fast Company and the Journal of the American Institute of Architects, is scheduled to launch in 2016 with more than 150 employees in St. Paul, MN. 3M Design also has global studios in Europe and Asia.
The IDSA Ambassadors program supports the industrial design profession with a primary focus on research, thought leadership, advocacy and media outreach—an ideal fit for 3M Design, where activities encompass multiple areas of expertise, from product to brand to user experience to graphic design, and beyond. 3M Chief Design Officer Eric Quint, an IDSA member who took the stage with fellow global design executives in the first Future of Design Leadership Panel at the Society’s 2015 International Conference, sees 3M Design's new IDSA Ambassador role as “a unique opportunity to build partnership, foster vibrant idea exchange and build new connections among future creative talent and design leaders.”
