For me personally, my introduction to industrial design was not necessarily a graceful leap from my high school days. In my case, I stumbled my way through two years of engineering school before finding my true passion: design. A great deal of design students has found themselves in the same situation, though many know their passion from day one.
As first announced to our academic community on March 26 (via our Educator Update email), we are pleased to provide a virtual platform for graduating 2020 senior industrial design students to increase visibility of their work and assist in their transition to the professional design community. The IDSA Industrial Design Senior Show will be completely free and open to any graduating industrial design senior.
Four IDSA student members won top prizes in the International Housewares Association’s 27th annual Student Design Competition, and four more IDSA student members received honorable mentions. Two IDSA members also served on the Competition jury.
